Behind the scenes
Boston free-lance writer and editor Jan Shepherd began publishing New England Crafts Connoisseur in the Fall of 1997 because she believed there were other passionate fans of contemporary crafts who wanted to know about the artists and special places in the six-state region. With the start of 2012, she stopped producing the quarterly newsletter to focus on this website as the vehicle for continued coverage of the best crafts and their makers. She expanded the site’s horizons to include special events beyond the six-state region. Comments are welcome to jshep at earthlink.net -- put necc crafts in subject line.
